Riders for the Flag
Riders for the Flag March from The Complete Marches of John Philip Sousa: Vol. 6

“Riders for the Flag” (1927)

This march was composed at the request of Colonel Osmun Latrobe, Regimental Commander of the 4th U.S. Cavalry, and was dedicated to Colonel Latrobe, his officers and men. The 4th Cavalry showed its appreciation in a unique manner by presenting Sousa with a handsome parchment, colorfully decorated with the crossed flags of the unit and personally signed by all the officers and enlisted men.
