Parking
Street parking is available in the immediate area, but please be aware of signage describing time limitations, and/or meters. (Metered parking is free on Sundays).
For Chamber Music Series concerts, free parking is located in VIP Green - the gated parking lot on 7th Street, underneath the bridge on the opposite corner from the Marine Barracks Annex. Patrons must move their vehicle from this lot immediately after the performance.
METRO
The nearest metro rail stations are Eastern Market and Navy Yard/Ballpark.
The Eastern Market station is 0.5 miles away and serviced by the Orange, Silver and Blue lines. Upon exiting the station, turn right onto 8th Street, SE and continue south for three blocks (past Marine Barracks). Turn right onto I Street, SE and continue west one block. Turn left onto 7th Street, SE and continue south under the overpass. Our facility is ahead on the right.
The Navy Yard/Ballpark station is 0.6 miles away and serviced by the Green line. (When exiting the train at Navy Yard/Ballpark, follow signs for Department of Transportation. This will take you to the exit nearest the Marine Barracks Annex). Upon exiting the station at New Jersey Avenue, continue east on M Street for five blocks. Turn left (north) onto 7th Street, SE. The entrance to our facility is two blocks ahead on the left.
DRiving From Virginia
VIA I-95 / I-395 NORTH:
• When you reach the Capital Beltway follow signs for I-395 North / Washington.
• Continue on I-395 North across the Potomac River into the District of Columbia.
• Keep to the right at the split after you cross the river, and then follow signs leading to I-295 South (left lanes).
• After you pass South Capitol Street take the exit for 6th Street, SE / Navy Yard.
• From the bottom of the exit ramp (Virginia Avenue) continue to 7th Street, SE.
• Turn right onto 7th Street, SE. The annex is on your right.
VIA I-66 EAST:
• Proceed on I-66 East inside the Capital Beltway. DO NOT follow I-66 into Washington via the Roosevelt Memorial Bridge. Instead, follow signs leading to I-395.
• Just past the Pentagon, take the exit for I-395 North / Washington.
• Continue on I-395 North across the Potomac River into the District of Columbia.
• Keep to the right at the split after you cross the river, and then follow signs leading to I-295 South (left lanes).
• After you pass South Capitol Street take the exit for 6th Street, SE / Navy Yard.
• From the bottom of the exit ramp (Virginia Avenue) continue to 7th Street, SE.
Turn right onto 7th Street, SE. The annex is on your right.
Driving from Maryland
VIA I-270 SOUTH:
• Proceed on I-270 South through Rockville, Maryland.
• At the split just south of Rockville (before you reach the Capital Beltway), keep to the right and follow signs for I-495 South / Northern Virginia.
• Immediately after you cross the Potomac River, take Exit 43 for the George Washington Memorial Parkway toward Washington.
• As you follow the parkway you will pass Spout Run, Rosslyn, Roosevelt Island, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Pentagon. DO NOT follow I-66 into Washington.
• Just past the Pentagon, take the exit for I-395 North / Washington.
• Continue on I-395 North across the Potomac River into the District of Columbia.
• Keep to the right at the split after you cross the river, and then follow signs leading to I-295 South (left lanes).
• After you pass South Capitol Street take the exit for 6th Street, SE / Navy Yard.
• From the bottom of the exit ramp (Virginia Avenue) continue to 7th Street, SE.
• Turn right onto 7th Street, SE. The annex is on your right.
VIA I-95 SOUTH:
• At the Capital Beltway follow signs for I-95 South / Richmond.
• Take Exit 22, for the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (MD-295 South) towards Washington.
• Keep to the left at the split. Remain on MD-295 South (DO NOT take the “Washington” exit at New York Avenue / US-50 West).
• Exit the parkway at East Capitol Street. The ramp will put you on a bridge facing RFK Stadium. Keep to the right as you circle around the stadium.
• Continue ahead on C Street, NE and then bear left onto North Carolina Ave., NE.
• Bear right onto Constitution Avenue and continue to 11th Street, NE.
• Turn left on 11th Street, NE and continue south to I Street, SE (crossing East Capitol St., Independence Ave., and Pennsylvania Ave.).
• Turn right on I Street, SE and continue to 7th Street, SE.
• Turn left on 7th Street, SE and continue under the overpass.
• Our facility is ahead on the right.
VIA THE BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON PARKWAY (MD-295 SOUTH):
• Follow the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (MD-295 South) into the District of Columbia.
• Keep to the left at the split. Remain on MD-295 South (DO NOT take the “Washington” exit at New York Avenue / US-50 West).
• Exit the parkway at East Capitol Street. The ramp will put you on a bridge facing RFK Stadium. Keep to the right as you circle around the stadium.
