Joseph Lucchesi

Director, May 1, 1844 – July 31, 1846

Joseph Lucchesi was born in Italy. After serving with the United States Military Academy Band at West Point, N.Y., from the 1820s to 1840, he enlisted in the Marine Band in January 1844 and was selected to be the 11th Leader/Drum Major in May 1844. He served until 1846.
