Stage Crewman Lance Corporal Albert Vaca of Winter Park, Fla., joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in November 2024.
Lance Cpl. Vaca graduated from Lake Howell High School in Winter Park, Fla. in 2019. In 2023, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, graduating that April. Lance Cpl. Vaca then completed Infantry Training at Camp Geiger in Jacksonville, N.C.
As a stage crewman, Lance Cpl. Vaca is responsible for setting up Marine Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra concerts and rehearsals in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area and across the country during the band’s annual concert tour.
