It's an annual tradition for the Marine Band to "surprise" the Commandant of the Marine Corps with a New Year's Day serenade at his home at Marine Barracks Washington. The tradition continued on Jan. 1, 2021, with 38th Commandant General David H. Berger, Sergeant Major Troy E. Black, and family guests in attendance.
