Saturday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. - High school students from around the nation were selected for the final round of the Marine Band Concerto Competition, which will be presented as a recital open to the public. The winner will be invited to perform his or her solo in concert with the Marine Band on April 5 and will receive a $2,500 scholarship from the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. The runner up will receive a $500 scholarship. The concert is free and will take place at John Philip Sousa Band Hall at the Marine Barracks Annex, located at 7th & K Streets, SE, Washington, DC. Free parking is available under the overpass on 7th Street.
