Saturday, July 20 at 7:30 p.m. -Conducted by Assistant Director Capt. Ryan J. Nowlin, the Marine Chamber Orchestra continues its Summer Series with a concert featuring Franz Schubert’s Overture in C minor, D. 8 and Ludwig van Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Opus 131. The program also includes Eric Ewazen’s Down a River of Time featuring oboe soloist Staff Sgt. Trevor Mowry. There will be no pre-concert ensemble performance prior to this concert. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will take place at Schlesinger Concert Hall at Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria.
