Sgt. Maj. Robert E. Cleary Funeral
On Feb. 20, 2018, the Marine Band participated in the funeral ceremony for Sgt. Maj. Robert E. Cleary, the 10th sergeant major of the Marine Corps, in Virginia Beach, Va. Cleary, born in Tewksbury, Mass., was the last Korean War veteran to serve as sergeant major of the Marine Corps, a post he assumed on June 28, 1983. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Master Sgt.
