On March 5, 2017 the Marine Chamber Orchestra performed a program called "Jazz Orchestra" at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall at Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria, Va. The event began with a double bass and piano duo pre-concert presentation in the lobby. The selections on the "Jazz Orchestra" concert included Leonard Bernstein's Three Dance Variations from Fancy Free, Chick Corea's Spain (Revisited), Duke Ellington's Black, Brown, and Beige, and Sammy Nestico's arrangement A Swingphonic Collection.
