The Marine Band concert will take place at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 5, at the University of Maryland's Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park, Md. This program includes music that was created out of personal journeys. John Philip Sousa’s Tales of a Traveler recalls his world tour with the famous Sousa Band, while Scott Lindroth’s Passage illustrates a journey through his earlier musical experiences. Travel with the Marine Band to the program’s culmination in Italy with Ottorino Respighi’s glorious tone poem The Pines of Rome. Free admission and free parking in Lot 1. No tickets are required.
