On Nov. 7, 2014, the Marine Chamber Orchestra and the Washington National Cathedral Choir performed a concert titled “Letters from War: A Tribute to Veterans” at the Washington National Cathedral. In addition to works such as John Williams’ Liberty Fanfare, The Lord is my Shepherd by John Rutter, and the Battle Hymn of the Republic, the moving tribute also included readings from letters sent from the font lines during the major conflicts of the past 100 years.
