2022 Young People’s Concert: “Once Upon a Symphony”

Join guest composer James Stephenson and the Marine Chamber Orchestra for this 50-minute immersion in the fascinating world of musical composition. This highly engaging and interactive program not only introduces young audiences to the instruments of the symphony orchestra, but also involves them in the compositional process culminating in a unique world première performance.

At Wolf Trap’s Summer Blast Off!

On Sunday, May 29, the Marine Band will perform Summer Blast Off!, a Memorial Day weekend concert at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts’ Filene Center in Vienna, Va. This year’s event is a patriotic musical extravaganza followed by a thrilling fireworks display; it is free and open to the public and will begin at 8 p.m.
