Marine Band Performs for White House Spring Garden Tour

13 Apr 2016 | United States Marine Band

This Saturday, April 16, enjoy music in the White House Gardens as the Marine Band performs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors will be able to tour the gardens and grounds including the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, Kitchen Garden, and the South Lawn of the White House as part of the 2016 Spring Garden Tour.

The band’s presence at the White House helps to create a festive atmosphere for those touring the grounds and seeing the White House up close. The band will play a variety of music including marches, standard band works, medleys from “Wicked” and “Chicago,” selections from “The Sound of Music” and “The Incredibles,” and music by Glenn Miller.

The tours are free and open to the public; however, tickets are required and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on Saturday morning beginning at 8 a.m. at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion located at 15th and E Streets in Washington, D.C.
