WASHINGTON -- Join the “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band this summer for free outdoor concerts as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
Starting June 3rd, the Marine Band will perform a series of concerts on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at notable venues throughout the DMV, including the U.S. Capitol West Steps, Union Station, Yards Park, Westpost National Landing and Glen Echo Park! Don’t miss performances by the Latin Jazz Ensemble, Free Country, Marine Big Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra sprinkled throughout the season.

The Latin Jazz ensemble performs a mix of classic and contemporary Latin jazz hits that are sure to get you groovin’. Whether you’re a jazz novice or die-hard fan, come hang out with these cool cats for their performance on July 29 and 30.
Free Country performs pop, rock and country music selections from the 1980s through today that will undoubtedly make you want to sing along! Selections by Hall and Oates, Bill Withers, Keith Urban and Billy Joel are already in the line-up for this year’s performance. Mark your calendar for June 24 and 25.
Lastly, the Marine Big Band takes listeners back to yesteryear with the swinging tunes and smooth tones of a bygone era. Channel your inner Glenn Miller and get “in the mood” for big band classics on Aug. 12 and 13.
Amidst the summer fun, don’t forget about Friday Evening Parades at Marine Barracks Washington. A one hour and fifteen minute performance of music and precision marching, the Evening Parade features “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, “The Commandant’s Own” United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, the Marine Corps Color Guard, the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon and Ceremonial Marchers.
