WASHINGTON -- Summer starts here! Maximize the fun this season with free, outdoor concerts with “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band.
Starting June 4th, the Marine Band will perform a series of concerts on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at notable venues throughout the DMV, including the U.S. Capitol West Steps, Glen Echo park, National Museum of the Marine Corps, Sylvan Theater and the grounds of the Washington Monument. From Latin jazz to Free Country and more, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Load up the family and pack some snacks for an evening full of music!

Free Country performs pop, rock and country music selections from the 1980s through today that will undoubtedly make you want to sing along! Selections by Billy Joel, Luke Combs, Beyonce and Brad Paisley are already in the line-up for this year’s performance. Mark your calendar for June 25.
The Latin Jazz ensemble performs a mix of classic and contemporary Latin jazz hits that are sure to get you groovin’. Whether you’re a jazz novice or die-hard fan, come hang out with these cool cats for their performance on July 23.
Lastly, the Marine Big Band takes listeners back to yesteryear with the swinging tunes and smooth tones of a bygone era. Channel your inner Glenn Miller and get “in the mood” for big band classics on Aug. 6.
Amidst the summer fun, don’t forget about Friday Evening Parades at Marine Barracks Washington. A one hour and fifteen minute performance of music and precision marching, the Evening Parade features “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, “The Commandant’s Own” United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, the Marine Corps Color Guard, the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon and Ceremonial Marchers.
