Stage Crewman Lance Corporal Andy Flores of Houston, Texas, joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in October 2024.
Lance Cpl. Flores attended Thurgood Marshall High School in Missouri City, Texas, and graduated in 2023. Lance Cpl. Flores enlisted in the Marine Corps in September of 2023 and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. After graduating from recruit training, Lance Cpl. Flores attended the Infantry Marine Course (IMC) at the School of Infantry at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, before receiving orders to Marine Barracks Washington, D.C. for assignment with “The President’s Own.”
As a stage crewman, Lance Cpl. Flores is responsible for setting up Marine Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra concerts and rehearsals in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area and across the country during the band’s annual concert tour.
