Stage Crewman Corporal Andrew Edwards of Rocky Mount, N.C. joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in November 2024.
Cpl. Edwards graduated from high school in 2015. He then received his associate’s degree in arts from Nash Community College in Rocky Mount, N.C in 2019. In 2024, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, graduating that May. Cpl. Edwards then completed Infantry Training at Camp Geiger in Jacksonville, N.C.
As a stage crewman, Cpl. Edwards is responsible for setting up Marine Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra concerts and rehearsals in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area and across the country during the band’s annual concert tour.
