Librarian Staff Sergeant Bradley Geneser of Geneva, Ill., joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in January 2024.

Staff Sgt. Geneser began his musical training on tuba at age 12. He graduated from Geneva Community High School in 2016 and then attended Roosevelt University, where he earned a bachelor’s in tuba performance in 2020. In 2022, Staff Sgt. Geneser received a master’s degree in music from Boston University.

Prior to joining “The President’s Own,” Staff Sgt. Geneser worked as the associate principal librarian for the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.

As a Marine Band Librarian, Staff Sgt. Geneser prepares music for performances by the Marine Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra, serves as the music acquisition specialist, and assists with maintaining the music library and historic archives.
