Information Systems Administrator Staff Sergeant Dahrion Johnson of Detroit joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in August 2023.
Staff Sgt. Johnson graduated from Southfield High School in 2009 where he was a percussionist in the music program. He then attended Wilberforce University in Ohio where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science in 2015 and also founded a school drumline.
Prior to joining “The President’s Own,” Staff Sgt. Johnson worked as a civilian in system administration and service support for military installations including Norfolk Naval Station and the 597th Transportation Brigade at Fort Eustice.
As an Information Systems Administrator, Staff Sgt. Johnson organizes, installs, and supports the band’s computer systems, networks, software, and hardware.
