Supply Chief
Master Sgt. Kathryn Woltanski

Supply Chief Master Sergeant Kathryn Woltanski of Elmwood, Wis., joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in May 2020.

Master Sgt. Woltanski began her musical training on flute at age 10. In 2003 she graduated from Elmwood High School, and in November of that year enlisted in the Marine Corps. After attending recruit training at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Beaufort, S.C., she continued her training at the Armed Forces School of Music in Virginia Beach, Va.

Prior to joining “The President’s Own,” Master Sgt. Woltanski was a musician in the Marine Fleet Bands, performed with the Parris Island Marine Band and Combat Center Band at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, Calif. In 2010 she lateral moved into the Military Occupational Specialty 5523 (Instrument Repair Technician) and served in that role for the Parris Island Marine Band, Marine Forces Pacific Band in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, and the Quantico Marine Band in Virginia.
