Operations Specialist Master Sergeant Jennifer Jensen of Montgomery, Ala., joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band as a librarian in November 2004, and transitioned to her current position in March 2022.

Master Sgt. Jensen began her musical training at age 12. After graduating in 1997 from Saint James School in Montgomery, she attended Troy University in Alabama, where in 2001 she earned a bachelor’s degree in music education. In 2003, she earned a master’s degree in music education from Auburn University in Alabama. Her teachers included James Zingara and Robert W. Smith.

Prior to joining “The President’s Own,” Master Sgt. Jensen was a graduate teaching assistant for Auburn University Bands.

As Operations Specialist, Master Sgt. Jensen is responsible for the daily scheduling and logistics of the Marine Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra.
