Librarian
Staff Sgt. Anya Brodrick

Librarian Staff Sergeant Anya Brodrick of San Diego, joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in June 2020.

Staff Sgt. Brodrick began her musical training on the piano at age 6 and French horn at 13. After graduating in 2005 from North Country Union High School in Newport, VT., she attended the University of Vermont, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in French horn performance and English literature in 2009. In 2013, she earned a master’s degree in library and information sciences from Simmons College in Boston.

Prior to joining “The President’s Own,” Staff Sgt. Brodrick worked as a librarian for both the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Oberlin Conservatory.

As a Marine Band Librarian, Staff Sgt. Brodrick prepares music for performances by the Marine Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra, serves as the music acquisition specialist, and assists with maintaining the music library and historic archives.
