Gunnery Sgt. Daniel Brady

Bass Trombonist Gunnery Sergeant Daniel Brady of Dallas joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in June 2008.

Gunnery Sgt. Brady began his musical career at age 11. After graduating from Duncanville High School in Dallas in 2005, he studied music at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. His teachers included John Kitzman of SMU and the Dallas Symphony, and Joseph Alessi and James Markey of the New York Philharmonic.

Prior to joining “The President’s Own,” Gunnery Sgt. Brady performed with the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra in Texas. He also performed as a substitute for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

Gunnery Sgt. Brady performs with the Marine Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra at the White House, in the Washington, D.C., area, and across the country during the band’s annual concert tour. In 2010 he was featured as a tour soloist on Stephen Bulla’s arrangement Southwest Showcase.
