Horn Player Gunnery Sergeant Rebecca Sieff of Columbia, Md., joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in November 2016.

Gunnery Sgt. Sieff began her musical training on horn at age 8. After graduating in 2006 from Hammond High School in Columbia, she attended the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University (IU) in Bloomington where she earned a bachelor’s degree in music education in 2010. She studied with Richard Seraphinoff of IU and Bruce Moore of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

Prior to joining “The President’s Own,” Gunnery Sgt. Sieff performed in the Disneyland All-American College Band in Anaheim, Calif., and served in both the United States Army Field Band at Ft. Meade, Md., and the Eighth Army Band in Seoul, South Korea.

Gunnery Sgt. Sieff performs with the Marine Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra at the White House, in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, and across the country during the band’s annual concert tour.
