Trumpet and Cornet Player Gunnery Sergeant Brandon Eubank of Tinley Park, Ill., joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in July 2008.

Gunnery Sgt. Eubank began his musical instruction on piano at age 5 and trumpet at age 10. After graduating from Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park in 2004, he earned his bachelor of music degree in trumpet performance in 2008 from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., where he studied with Barbara Butler, Charles Geyer, and Christopher Martin.

Prior to joining “The President’s Own,” Gunnery Sgt. Eubank performed at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, Calif., and the Lucerne Festival Academy in Switzerland under Pierre Boulez. Gunnery Sgt. Eubank also has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra; the Civic Orchestra of Chicago; the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, Fla.; the Walt Disney World Collegiate All-Star Band in Orlando, Fla.; and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra in South Korea.

Gunnery Sgt. Eubank performs with the Marine Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra at the White House, in the Washington, D.C., area, and across the country during the band’s annual concert tour.
