Administrative Chief Staff Sergeant Davin BrinkClapp of Sacramento, Calif., was assigned to “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in November 2022.
Staff Sgt. BrinkClapp earned his high school diploma in 2015 and enlisted in the Marine Corps later that year. After completing recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, he attended Personnel Administration School at Camp Johnson, N.C., and was then assigned to the Camp Lejeune Installations Personnel Administration Center (IPAC) as an administrative specialist for retirements. In 2018, he transferred to the II Marine Expeditionary Force where he served as command element administrative specialist aboard the USS Fort McHenry. From 2019 to 2022, Staff Sgt. BrinkClapp then worked at Headquarters Marine Corps in the Pentagon as an administrative specialist, then administrative chief, in finance for the Deputy Commandant of Programs and Resources.
As administrative chief, Staff Sgt. BrinkClapp is responsible for the processing of all orders, enlistments and reenlistments, retirements, maintaining service records, and auditing all pay-related matters.
