Sponsor the Marine Band

Why sponsor the Marine Band?

Bringing the Marine Band to your city or town is a great opportunity for your organization to give back to the community. These free concerts, presented by the same musicians who perform at the White House, attract capacity crowds and provide valuable public exposure for the sponsoring organization.

Who sponsors the Marine Band?

The Marine Band National Tour Director plans the tour itinerary and contacts local organizations for sponsorship. The organizations must have the capability to provide a suitable concert site, publicize the performance, and distribute free tickets. Sponsors typically are schools and universities, newspapers, radio and television stations, civic and educational organizations, chamber of commerce and local governments.

Who is the Sponsor?

The official sponsor(s) is the organization that signs the Marine Band Tour Appearance Agreement.

Are there any restrictions?

Fundraising activities or other collections in connection with Marine Band tour appearances are prohibited. The Marine Band will not participate in any event that directly or indirectly benefits, appears to benefit, or favor any private individual, commercial venture, sect, political or fraternal group. The band will not be associated with solicitation of funds or solicitation of votes in an election.

What does the Sponsor provide?

Marine Band concerts must be presented free of admission. Transportation, food, and lodging are the responsibility of the United States Marine Corps. The sponsor is responsible for providing all local support to include, securing a concert site, managing a publicity campaign, facilitating the printing and distribution of tickets and concert programs, providing ushers for the concert, and coordinating with local security to guard the concert site, Marine Band, and patrons.
