Jean Sibelius and Carl Nielsen were not only contemporaries, but also two of the most influential musical profiles of Europe. Sibelius was deeply inspired by nature while Nielsen was questioning his humanism post WWI, and both composers’ abilities to convey their inspiration and deepest compassions is unquestioned.
