The Marine Chamber Orchestra perform at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19, at Northern Virginia Community College's Schlesinger Center in Alexandria, Va. This program features three disparate works that each illuminate conflict and confluence through music: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Overture to Don Giovanni; Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 9 in E-flat; and the world première of composer, oboist, and veteran Marine Lt. Col. Kenneth Watson’s Bassoon Concerto, written specifically for principal bassoon Master Sgt. Christopher McFarlane, who will perform the selection.  Admission and parking are free.
