Master Sergeant Charles Terry, Jr.

Stage Manager Master Sergeant Charles Terry, Jr. joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in September 1999. MSgt Terry graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, D.C., in 1981. He joined the Marine Corps in January 1996, and following recruit training in Parris Island, S.C., he attended Utilities School in Camp Lejeune, N.C. Upon graduation, he reported to the 8th Engineer Support Battalion 2nd Marine Division in Camp Lejeune. Prior to joining “The President’s Own,” MSgt Terry served in Washington, D.C., on the Inspector and Instructor staff at Anacostia Naval Air Station and as an electrician at Marine Barracks, Washington, D.C.

As Stage Manager, MSgt Terry is responsible for loading and transporting musical instruments and equipment, setting the stage for performances locally and on tour, managing the stage crew, and maintaining the facilities of “The President’s Own.”

Gunnery Sergeant Richard Dickerson

Assistant Stage Manager Gunnery Sergeant Richard Dickerson joined “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in July 2004. GySgt Dickerson began his musical training at age five. Upon graduating in 1992 from El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills, GySgt Dickerson joined the United States Marine Corps. In November 1992, following recruit training in San Diego, GySgt Dickerson reported to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band in El Toro, Calif. After one enlistment, he separated from the Marine Corps to attend the Peabody Conservatory of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore where, in 2000, he received a bachelor of music degree in French horn performance. GySgt Dickerson’s notable instructors include David Bakkegard of the Peabody Conservatory, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Associate Principal Horn Peter Landgren, also of Peabody Conservatory, and recording artist Barry Tuckwell.

Prior to joining “The President’s Own,” GySgt Dickerson served as a stage crew member and stage manager for the Peabody Conservatory Opera Department from 1996-2003 and assistant stage manager for the Baltimore Opera Company from 2002-2004.

Lane Corporal Akcire Beasley

Stage crewman Lance Corporal Akcire Beasley was assigned to “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in May 2014. After graduating in 2013 from Mount Zion High School, Lance Cpl. Beasley enlisted in the Marine Corps. He attended recruit training at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Beaufort, S.C., the School of Infantry at Camp Geiger, N.C., and Marine Security Forces School in Chesapeake, Va., prior to his assignment with “The President’s Own.”








Lance Corporal Jordan Dross 


Stage crewman Lance Corporal Jordan Dross was assigned to “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in September 2013. After graduating in 2010 from Manasquan High School and taking classes at Brookdale Community College, LCpl Dross enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2012 and attended recruit training at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Beaufort, S.C. He attended the School of Infantry in Camp Geiger, N.C., and Security Forces School in Chesapeake, Va. LCpl Dross then received orders to Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., Guard Company prior to his assignment with “The President’s Own.”





Lance Corporal Dustan Flom 

Stage crewman Lance Corporal Dustan Flom was assigned to “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in June 2013. After graduating in 2011 from Central Valley High School, LCpl Flom enlisted in the Marine Corps and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego. He attended the School of Infantry in Camp Pendleton, Calif., and then received orders to Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., Bravo Company prior to his assignment with “The President’s Own.”




Lance Corporal Swen Gonzalez

Stage crewman Lance Corporal Swen Gonzalez was assigned to “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in April 2014. After graduating in 2007 from Coral Gables High School and taking classes at Miami Dade College from 2009-11, Lance Cpl. Gonzalez enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2013. He attended recruit training at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Beaufort, S.C., the School of Infantry at Camp Lejeune, N.C., and Marine Security Forces School in Chesapeake, Va., prior to his assignment with “The President’s Own.”








Lance Corporal Clifford Tuten

Stage crewman Lance Corporal Clifford Tuten was assigned to “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in September 2013. After graduating in 2011 from Pisgah High School, LCpl Tuten enlisted in the Marine Corps and attended recruit training at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Beaufort, S.C. He attended the School of Infantry in Camp Geiger, N.C. LCpl Tuten then received orders to Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., Guard Company prior to his assignment with “The President’s Own.”







Private First Class Jeremy Burgett

Stage crewman Private First Class Jeremy Burgett was assigned to “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in May 2014. After graduating in 2013 from North Tonawanda High School, Pfc. Burgett enlisted in the Marine Corps. He attended recruit training at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Beaufort, S.C., and the School of Infantry at Camp Geiger, N.C., prior to his assignment with “The President’s Own.”







Private First Class Jonathan Jester

Stage crewman Private First Class Jonathan Jester was assigned to “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in May 2014. After graduating in 2013 from Royse City High School, Pfc. Jester enlisted in the Marine Corps. He attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, Calif., and the School of Infantry West at Camp Pendleton, Calif., prior to his assignment with “The President’s Own.”







Private First Class Carmine Mancini

Stage crewman Private First Class Carmine Mancini was assigned to “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in May 2014. After graduating in 2013 from Loudon Valley High School in Purcellville, Va., Pfc. Mancini enlisted in the Marine Corps. He attended recruit training at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Beaufort, S.C., and the School of Infantry at Camp Geiger, N.C., prior to his assignment with “The President’s Own.”







Private First Class Juan Nunez-Espinosa

Stage crewman Private First Class Juan Nunez-Espinoza was assigned to “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in May 2014. After graduating in 2013 from Clark High School, Pfc. Nunez-Espinoza enlisted in the Marine Corps. He attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, the School of Infantry West at Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Marine Security Forces School in Chesapeake, Va. Pfc. Nunez-Espinoza then received orders to Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., Guard Company prior to his assignment with “The President’s Own.”
